TENX was founded in 2016 with a great passion to make a real difference to the game-of-tennis. A key milestone to achieving this was the successful launch of TENX exclusive uniflex Technology™ which gave tennis players access to our advanced uniform flex racket ranges.

We were delighted to receive  high survey satisfaction levels which revealed that players experienced superior racket playability from an enhanced blend of power, control, feel and comfort.

TENX also launched a global direct-to-consumer model to provide players with access to all our products at exceptional prices. This has also enabled TENX to recognise all aspiring players and Coaches with generous player sponsorships and Coach reseller programs. 

OUR STORY

MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE

In 2006 co-founder Andrew Bennett (right), aged 15 at the time, had a memorable experience whilst training in Barcelona with Gregor Dimitrov (left). The Sanchez Academy Head Coach, Pato Alvarez, introduced to them Head pro-stock rackets which were painted to look identical to the Head retail rackets they were playing with. Whilst testing these pro stock rackets they instantly experienced a “jaw-dropping and game changing experience”.

FRUSTRATION MOMENT

5 years later Andrew experienced a moment of frustration when trying to buy the same pro-stock Head PT57E racket that Andy Murray was using. He was disappointed and frustrated to discover that he was not eligible to buy the racket whilst having an ATP ranking. Eventually Andrew bought these rackets second hand.

Light Bulb Moment

5 years passed and Andrew was fortunate enough to experience a light bulb moment when testing a non-brand custom racket. It was truly exceptional, and he knew many tennis players who would want the same playing experience. This inspired Andrew Bennett to establish TENX. 

Racket Technology Advancement – Uniflex™ Technology

All TENX rackets use Uniflex Technology TM and optimises the individual frame design elements in relation to one another.

This powerful combination gave birth to an enhanced “uniform flex racket” with a special plush custom feel and game changing playability. Players can now experience a special “pro-stock playing experience” that has historically been restricted to only the elite pro tour players.   

The low frame vibration, excellent stability and plush feel provides less arm fatigue and high comfort. The excellent racket control also allow players to string at lower tensions providing additional arm relief.

UNIFLEX™ TECHNOLOGY

Uniflex Technology™ is exclusive to TENX and is created through a multi-faceted approach including:

  1. Enhanced Racket Construction.
    • 17 layers of carbon fibre laminates compared to the normal range of 7-12 layers.
    • Multiple “angled cross piled Laminate” combinations. Reducing frame vibration, improving frame flex and strength. Sourced from Japan. Refer to Diagram 1 below
    • Pre impreg carbon fibres. Provide a thermostat epoxy layer and bonding outcome. Sourced from Japan
    • Thermal compression is optimised to maximise bonding.
    • Frame re-enforcement. Carbon fibre applied to head, neck and handle areas
  2. Optimal RA Stiffness is an important contributing factor.

To optimise racket performance the correct string and tension selection is important. TENX assists by sharing our string test data for Power, Spin, Comfort and Durability. Tennis Australia’s - Tennis Labs provides this independent data.

TENX established a strategic relationship with Tennis Australia and Techstars in 2020.This enabled a close working relationship to form with Tennis Australia’s - Tennis Labs.This has assisted TENX accelerate our product development and optimise our racket and string performance.

TENX has been utilising Tennis Labs since July 2020. This advanced facility has assisted TENX optimise our racket and string performance. The lab uses leading tools, algorithms and player information providing TENX a data driven approach to product innovation.
